One of the oldest Summer traditions is San Francisco is the Stern Grove Festival in the Sunset District (19th & Sloat Blvd). The Festival provides free access to diverse live music to Bay Area residents. From classic symphony to Afro Cuban sounds the Festival caters to all music aficionados and provides a very unique experience. Starting in June and running throughout the Summer, the Festival allows for patrons to bring their own food, beer and wine while accompanying a very unique concert experience. There are tables that can be reserved for a price, but it is best to experience the event from the grass, like the locals do. I would recommend getting there early to reserve a good spot. Although parking is allowed on the streets, I would recommend taking public transportation. The Sunset’s weather is highly unpredictable, noon temperature will be scolding, but 2PM will bring a breeze. Dress appropriately. Things To Do in San Francisco on the 4th of July
San Francisco things to do in July would not be complete without a fireworks extravaganza illuminating the Bay. On the 4th of July, San Francisco has one of the biggest displays of fireworks from around the Bay. If you’re a tourist you’ll probably be sucked in to watching the event where thousands of people will gather near the Waterfront Festival at Pier 39. If you do not mind the crowds then this is the place for you. Unless you are a local or savvy tourist you know the best place to watch the fireworks is from across the Bay on Treasure Island. Most locals make a day outing while having a picnic during the day and watching the fireworks at night. 2 ways to get there:

Bring a blanket and layers of clothing, the day will most likely be hot, but the cool breeze from the Bay will turn the night very chilly. This ranks among one of the best things to do in San Francisco. Bring your camera and get ready to be mesmerized.
Things To Do in San Francisco on Bastille Day- July 14th

San Francisco Things To Do on Bastille Day- July 14th
Although San Francisco is not known for its enormous population of French residents, it does not stop the locals from joining the celebration in one the European country’s biggest holidays. July 14th is the day the narrow alleys of the downtown area are full with French and wannabes alike. The attractions vary from fantastic restaurants, to live music to amazing bars and cafes. Things to do during the celebration include a visit to the epicenter if you will, of Bastille Day, Belden Place. This alley way in between the San Francisco sky scrappers offers a wonderful experience about the enormity of the celebration.

Fleet Week in October
Fleet Week By The Bay
Fleet week in San Francisco is the time when the Armed Forces of the United States dock their ships in the Bay Area to give their personnel time off from their duties. The City is buzzing with Sailors, Air Crew and soldiers from all ranks of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. It is also a time when the famous Blue Angels come to town and put on an exciting and acrobatic aerial show for all ages. This ranks as one of the best things to do in San Francisco during the month of October. This year, Fleet Week occurs from October 6th through the 11th. The event culminates with tours of the massive battleships and aircrafts carriers that have docked on the San Francisco Bay. For more information about this event please visit the official site @:
